In addition to participation in the inception workshop in March 2014, the World Bank organized two additional missions to PERSGA during 2014. In may and December 2014 the Senior Procurement Officer of the World Bank Eng. Badr Kamel conducted implementation support missions. During these missions Eng. Badr met H E the Secretary General and briefed him on the progress in procurement in the SEM Project as compared tp other Projects. He also discussed procurement issues with the Project Manager and PERSGA Procurement Officer Mr. Najm el Dien Awad. Missions conducted by Eng. Badr formed opportunities to review and update the Procurement Plan and to have hands on Training on several procurement aspects related to the SEM Project.
